Owner support
Everything you need after it arrives.
How to get help, what is covered, and how long each step takes — for the LYNX Guardian 360 and the people who own one.
Getting in touch
Email support@auradrivetech.com. A person replies within one business day.
We do not run live chat or a phone line. One inbox, answered properly, is what we can do well at our size — so that is what we offer rather than a number nobody picks up.
To save a round trip, include your order number and, where it helps, a photo or a short clip. If something is not recording as you expect, tell us which channel — front, rear or cabin — and what the screen shows.
If it arrives faulty
Tell us within 7 days of delivery and send a short video showing the fault. We confirm the return address and replace the unit at our cost.
Send it with tracking and keep the postage receipt — send us a photo of it and we refund the postage alongside the replacement, so you are not out of pocket.
After the first 7 days, hardware failure is handled under the warranty below.
18-Month Platinum Guardian Protection
Hardware failure in normal use is covered for 18 months from the day you receive it. A failed unit is replaced with a new unit — it is not a refund route, and the 30-day return window below is separate.
To claim, email us with your order number and a description of the fault. A short video showing the problem speeds things up considerably. We will tell you whether the unit needs to come back before a replacement ships.
The warranty does not cover accidental damage, water damage, damage from an installation that went wrong, or a memory card that has reached the end of its life. Memory cards are consumable — they wear out with rewriting, which is why the one in the box is a high-endurance card.
Changing your mind — 30 days
You have 30 days from delivery, and the clock stops the day you email us — not the day the parcel goes back. Once you have told us, there is no rush.
Email us first with your order number and a short video of the camera and everything that came with it, laid out. Thirty seconds on a phone is plenty. It lets us check everything over before the parcel travels, so your refund is not waiting on a box being opened at the other end.
We come back with confirmation and the address. That can take a few days — every return is registered with our warehouse first, and a parcel that arrives without that registration is disposed of after seven days rather than sent back to you. Please wait for our email before sending anything.
You can install it and use it. It just needs to come back complete, in the original box, with every accessory. If something is missing or the camera has been damaged, we tell you what that means for your refund before you ship it — so there are no surprises at either end.
Returns are free. There is no restocking fee, and you are not out of pocket for sending the camera back — send it with tracking, keep the postage receipt and send us a photo of it, and we refund the return postage together with your refund.
Refunds go back to the original payment method, within two business days of the return arriving.
Installation and the hardwire kit
The camera itself is a plug-in job — adhesive mount, 12V socket, about 10 minutes. The installation guide walks through it.
The hardwire kit is a bigger job, but a common one. It wires into your vehicle's fuse box so parking mode can run with the engine off, and it needs a circuit tester, two add-a-fuse taps and about an hour. Many owners fit it themselves with the instructions in the box; if you would rather not, an auto-electrician will do it in under an hour.
Whoever fits it: keep away from fuse slots tied to safety systems — airbags, stability control, the horn — and check the vehicle manual before tapping anything. The kit is included with every unit, and damage from an installation that went wrong is not covered by the warranty.
Getting footage off the camera
Two ways. Over Wi-Fi, using the Viidure app on your phone — the camera creates its own network, so no mobile data is used and nothing is uploaded to a cloud. Or take the card out and read it on a computer.
Loop recording writes over the oldest footage as the card fills; clips locked by the G-sensor are kept until you clear them. If a clip matters, copy it off the card the same day and keep it somewhere else.
Owner questions
The three we get asked most.
Can I record other people?
Video recording in your own vehicle is generally permitted across the US. Audio is different — roughly a dozen states require everyone in a conversation to consent to being recorded, according to the Reporters Committee for Freedom of the Press, and several more have partial rules. The cabin microphone can be switched off in the settings. Check the rules where you drive.
Will my insurer accept the footage?
Dash cam footage is commonly used as supporting evidence in insurance disputes and hit-and-run investigations. It has to be authenticated as a genuine, unaltered recording, and whether any particular footage is accepted is a matter for your insurer or a court, not for us.
Can you recover a clip for me?
No. Footage stays on the card in the camera and never reaches us, so we cannot access it, retrieve it or recover it. If a clip matters, copy it off the card and keep it somewhere else — the loop will eventually write over it.
